A Healthy Mind

Wrestling Team Dominates at SCVAL

Congratulations to the Wrestling team for winning the SCVAL league championship meet. The FHS Wrestling team had six individual finalists, three individual champions and a total of eight CCS qualifiers, as well as several lower medalists placing between third and sixth place. The CCS Wrestling Tournament is at Independence High School on 2/23 and 2/24.The top three will go on to the CIF State Championships the following weekend. Congratulations and good luck at CCS and CIF!



Fremont Winter Ensemble and Color Guard

Congratulations to the Fremont Winter Indoor Ensemble for taking 1st place in their division at both the Independence and Dublin shows this past Saturday. It was a great way to start the competitive season. Congratulations also to the Winter Color Guard on another fine performance at the Independence Show this past Saturday.  Both groups next compete on March 3rd at Oak Grove High School.

String Orchestra

Congratulations to the Fremont String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra for their high scores and great performances last Thursday at the Homestead Orchestra festival.

Homestead IDC Exchange

Sunnyvale Police Activities League Event

Sunnyvale Police Activities League (PAL) is a partnership between the community and the Department of Public Safety (DPS).  The mission of this partnership is to promote the prevention of juvenile crime and violence by building relationships among youth, DPS,  and community through positive engagement.  Sunnyvale PAL has a baseball, boxing, and soccer league.  If you would like to attend the boxing event on February 17th to find out information about joining any PAL league, you can find the event details below.

Princess Project

Need help getting a prom dress?  The Princess Project offers free prom dresses for students who need help getting them.  If you are interested in getting a dress, see Mrs. Rocha in the main office as soon as possible.  There are a limited number of spots for the March dates and they will fill up fast. 

SAT Prep Class

The Fremont High PTSA is proud to offer an on-campus SAT Prep Class, “How to MASTER the SAT” taught by Future Path Prep. Future Path Prep will give you the critical skills you need for success on the new SAT!

Thank you Fremont students for your overwhelming interest in this class - the SAT Prep Class is currently at full capacity!

The Eating Disorders Resource Center in Los Gatos is accepting entries for their "Everybody's Beautiful" writing contest. The contest is held every year to spread awareness about body image and the beauty standards created by social media culture. Students in grades 6-12 are asked to create a poem or write an essay (in English or Spanish) answering one of the following questions: What do you love about yourself?, Why should others love and  accept themselves?, or How does the media affect body image?. You have the chance of winning up to $300 in cash, winners will also have their work published on their website.
